S:Helping parents do housework.

T:Last lesson, we have learned Mikes family. He often helps his parents, right?(S:Yes.) Do you remember how does he help his parents at weekends?

S1: He helps his father clean the car.

S2: He helps his mother clean the table.

 

 

3.Look and say

T: Mike and Liu Tao are good friends. Look, what are they doing?

S: They are playing a football game.

T:Do you know the game?

(新授:game

It means match.

Now, its six oclock. What are they saying?

Mike should go home help his mother cook dinner.But do you know who cooks dinner in Liu Taos family?

 

 

 

 

 

一首关于做家务的歌,让学生对本单元的主题有再一次的深刻认识,同时拓展了关于这一主题的课外资源。

通过师生间的自由对话,不仅对之前学过的知识进行了复习巩固,也对学生的口语交际能力进行了锻炼和培养。

 

把上一单元的MIke作为导入,引出Liu Tao一家,顺畅。

Step2:Presentation

1.Watch and answer

T:Now, lets watch the story. After it, please answer the two questions. First:Who cooks dinner in Liu Taos family?

Second: What are they doing for dinner in the kitchen?(学生观看动画视频)

 

T:Who cooks dinner in Liu Taos family?

S: His parents.

 

T:What are they doing for dinner?

If your forget, you can open your book Page58.Find the key words.

T:What is Mother doing?

S: She is washing some vegetables.

T:Why is she washing vegetables?

S:Because she wants to cook some tomato soup.

T:Do you know tomato soup?Look at the picture.(新授:tomato soup

Does he like the soup?How do you know?Can you find the sentence?

S:That smells nice.

T:So he likes it. Here smell like this.(新授:smell.用动作解释)Can you do the action?Lets follow the tape and read it again.

 

T: What is Father doing?

S: He is cooking meat with potatoes.

T:Do you know meat with potatoes?

Look!What are they?

S:They are potatoes.

T:What is it?

S:Its meat.

T:Yes. When we put them together, we call it meat with potatoes.

Understand?

S: Yes.

T:Does Liu Tao like the meat?How do you know?Can you find the sentence?

S:Great!I cant wait,Dad.

T:Yes,he wants to eat very much.

 

What is Liu Tao doing?Is he helping his parents?

S:No, he is looking for some juice.

 

T:Why is he looking for some juice?

If you dont know, look at the picture. He comes home from a football game. So how does he? Now, you are Liu Tao, what will say?

S: Im thirsty/tired/hot/hungry.

T: Good!

 

2.Read and underline

T:Now, dinner id ready.Does Liu Tao like the dinner?Please read part3 and find the key words about the dinner.

T: Hows fathers meat?

S:Its yummy.

T:Lets read after the tape.Do you like it?(S:Yes.)

S:Its nice.

T:Yes. Lets read after the tape. Liu Tao likes the dinner very much. Do you like your parents dinner?

Prepare a role play in group of four.

2. After dinner

T:After dinner, what are Liu Tao and his parents doing? Can you guess?

T: Lets look.

What are they doing?

S: Mr Liu is watching TV.

  Mrs Liu is sweeping the floor.

T: And where is Liu Tao?Can you guess?

S:Liu Tao is...

T: Lets see. He is washing dishes.

He is helping his parents do housework.Do you often help your parents do some housework?What do you often do to help your parents?

S: I often help them make the bed.

 

T: So try our best to help our parents. Love our parents. Because they love us too.

 

T:What do you want to say to your parents/

S: I love you.
