A Magic Card
教学目标:
1. 学生能够理解故事内容。
2. 学生能够通过故事认识到主人公小男孩是怎样的一个人。
3. 提高学生提取信息的能力。
教学过程:
Step1: Warming up
1. Greetings
2. Lets play(magic time)
T: There is a box in my hand. There are some cards in it. I want to choose someone to pick up the magic card.
1. 一位同学随机抽取一张牌。
2.向全班同学展示抽取的扑克牌,是否是魔法卡片。
Step2: Presentation
1.Let’s guess
1). T: There is another magic card. Can you guess what can this magic card do? Let’s see. So a or b?

T: Bingo! It can take us anywhere we want to go. We don’t take a plane or a bus or a train. We just write down the name of the place, and it can take us there.If I write down Beijing, it will take me to Beijing. It is great fun. But remember it just take us to only one place. Do you want the card? If you have the magic card, where do you want to go?
S:I want to go to Beijing.
T: There are many beautiful cities in the world, right? Let’s enjoy some pictures of cities.

3). T:Who has the magic card? Let’s see.
S: Milu.
T: Yes. His name is Milu.(板书:Milu) Where does he find the card?
S: on the ground
T: So he picks it up. Is he happy? Of course, he is so happy. He shouts excitedly“It’s a magic card.”Who can be Milu and say the sentence?

1):What did father do in Sydney?
Where is it? It’s Sydney Opera House. So he went to Sydney Opera House.(板书:went to 学生读) What does it look like? It looks like shells.(图片出示shells). It also looks like pieces, like orange pieces, right?
He also swam and surfed in the sea. (板书:Swam,surfed.学生读)Look, he is swimmig and surfing in the picture. Is he cool? Do you like swimming or surfing in the sea? If you want to, Sydney is a good city.
Then, he watched an Australia football match. Here the football is different. Do you want to wantch an Australia football match?(视频解释football橄榄球). It’s very wonderful,right? If you want to wantch an Australia football match, you also can go to Sydney.
So what did father do in Sydney? He went to Sydney Opera House, swam and surfed in the sea and wantch an Australia football match.
2) How about sister?
T: Look at the picture. She went to Hong Kong. Where did she go in Hong Kong?
S: She went to Disneyland and Ocean Park.(板书:went to) Do you like Disneyland ? Why? We can see Mickey mouse and play many games. Do you like Ocean park? Why? We can see many sea animals,right? So Hong Kong is also a good city, right?
4.Let’s say
两人一组,任选一个角色,介绍一下他们去过的城市
T: Sydney and Hong Kong are great cities. Now please say sth about these two cities. Work in pairs.You can choose one person, father or sister. You can read the sentences on the book or you can say according to the blackboard. Understand?(学生能用过去式表达)

Mr Webb has album. There are many photos of cities in it. He tells Milu many interesting stories.

After Mr Webb’s introduction, Milu wants to travel around the world. He wants to many cities, right?
