英语四下Unit 7What’s the matter? (Story time)

Teaching aims:

1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词thirsty, water, ill, tired, happy.

2. 能听懂、会说、会读单词dear.

3. 能听懂、会说、会读句型What’s the matter? I’m… Can I have…?Here you are. I want to… Good night

4. 能够理解并能正确朗读课文。

5. 能够用本课所学词句询问和表达“感受”和“感觉”。

Teaching importance and difficulties:

1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词thirsty, water, ill, tired, happy.

2. 能听懂、会说、会读句型what’s the matter?及其回答。

Step 1 Free talk and warm-up

(1) Free talk

(2) Warm-up

Step 2 Presentation

(1) Learn the new words.

  Watch and choose.

  What’s the matter with Sam and Bobby?

 Learn: thirsty .

(2) T:I have a new friend, John. He is not so good now. What’s the matter with him? Let’s ask him.

  Learn: Are you…

  出示hungry,thirsty,让学生问Are you hungry/thirsty?引出句型No, I’m not.(录音),同法教授ill,(播放录音No, I’m not.)。

Learn:tired。引出句型Yes, I am.(录音)

3) Ask and answer.

 What’s the matter? I’m…

(4) Play a game: Quickly respond.

(5) T: Are you sad now? Are you happy now? Learn: happy.

(6)Watch and tick

T: You are happy now, But Liu Tao isn’t happy. What’s the matter with him. Let’s watch the story and tick.

(7)Read and match

   T: Liu Tao is thirsty and tired now, what can he do now? Let’s read and match. Discuss in groups, underline the key sentences.

   Thirsty:  Learn: water. Can I have some water?

   Tired:  Learn: want, Good night, dear .

(8)    Read the story.

(9) Act the story

(2)    情感升华:
