一、教学目标:
1.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语及句型I can play basketball . Can you play basketball ? Can Mike…? 及回答Yes, I/ he can. No, I / he can’t.并能初步运用。
2.能主动表达Nice!Cool!Great! Very well!Have a try!夸赞他人或鼓励他人。
3.能正确理解Story time故事,用较好的语音语调朗读对话,并尝试表演。
4.通过学习故事激发学生对运动的热爱,能用积极的方式参加运动。

能对句型Can …?作出正确应答。

Step 1. Warming up&Free talk
1. T: Let’s enjoy some songs , and try to know what they can do .
2. Let’s play an interesting game . From the game you will know more about me .It named ‘ I can’.
Look,here’s the rule .
Please say: Yeah,Yeah,Yeah,if you can do what I can. Please say : No.No.No,if you can’t do what I can.

Step 2. Presentation
1.T: I’m very glad that you can do so many things . Some of you can play basketball. Just now you played very well .Today we’re going to learn Unit 4 I can play basketball . (揭题) Look, here’s the basketball .
教授: basketball ,发音分解:a—bas, I—ket, basket, ball—basketball
教授:play , eI—play—play basketball
T:I can play basketball . Can you ? If you can please stand up and tell me .学生起立说句子: I can play basketball .( Cool, Nice, Great !评价)
2. T: Cool, many of you can play basketball.
对坐着的学生说:Can you play basketball ?
S: Yes, I can . / No , I can’t . ( 给学生提示,引导学生回答)
3.教授:can’t :a—can’t(集体—两两,比较can与can’t)
4.Read and answer:
(1)T : But , can you read it in right intonation?

(2) Work in pairs like this:

1.T:Now,I`m sure you can play basketball very well. What about our old friends ? Look at the picture. Here are three boys. Who are they ?(板书)
Ss: Mike ,Wang Bing and Liu Tao.
T:Where are they?
Ss: They are in the playground .
T: They’re playing basketball. (出现篮球) So I want to know, Can Wang Bing play basketball ?
What about you ? What else do you want to know ?
(学生自由提问Can Mike/ Liu Tao…?)
Let`s watch cartoons and try to find the answers .
2.Watch cartoons and answer the questions:
Can Wang Bing play basketball? (注意纠错 he can)

3.T:Can Mike play basketball?
Ss:Yes, he can .
T: Is he good at playing basketball? (他打得怎么样?)
Ss:He can play basketball very well. (学习very well)
T: Look at the picture, how do you know that?
Listen again(Cool!)
T: We know Mike can play very well. Look, YaoMing can play basketball very well,too. SunYang can swim very well .
Can you repeat the sentences very well?
4.What about Liu Tao ? (学生回答No/ Yes)
I have two questions for you .
Watch and choose, can Liu Tao play basketball at first ? Can Liu Tao play basketball at last?

At that time , what can we say to LiuTao? (学习have a try ,大组读,引导学生读出语气)

T: Can Liu Tao play at last ?
Ss : Yes, he can .
T: Yes, look at the picture . He can play at last . Why ? (配图,引导学生看图,说说理由At last , he is confident, so he can play very well .)
So boys and girls , there are so many teachers here now , they are looking at you and listening to you , are you confident ?
Great ! Let’s listen and repeat very well .
4. T:Cool! You read the story very well . From this story we know (出示课文图)WangBing ,Mike and Liu Tao can play basketball , so we can praise them with the sentences : Nice! Cool! Great ! Good!(学生说)
Liu Tao can’t play at first , so we can encourage him : Have a try !
5. I think you all understand the story very well. Now let’s read ,then match the pictures and the sentences.

6.T:Great . Now it`s time for you to read the story in roles.
T: You can get one or two stars according to your work . Who wants to have a try ?
T: (生读完后) How many stars can they get ?

1.Today we read the story about Wang Bing, Mike and Liu Tao. Wang Bing can play basketball . It’s nice! Mike can play basketball very well. It’s cool ! Liu Tao can’t play basketball at first , so we say : Have a try , Liu Tao. At last, he can play basketball . It’s great . They’re all good!(边总结边板书)
2.T: Now we know the boys can play basketball. What about the girls?Look at this picture.Who are they ? They are in the playground . They are playing basketball , too. Can you make another dialogue ?
Step 6. Homework
1.Listen and read the story ,try to recite it.
2.Act the story in groups.
3.Try to make a new dialogue about the girls.
